Smilessence offers many different types of dental crown restorations and veneers. With state of the art cerec technology the crowns can be machined immediately for fitting.

CEREC is the world’s only system for the fabrication of ceramic restorations in just 1 visit, meaning damaged teeth can now be quickly and conveniently restored.

At Smilessence we are extremely proud to provide our patients with CEREC 3D technology. Our in-house CEREC Ceramic Studio means your restoration can now be completed in just one visit to our practice.

After decayed or broken areas of the tooth are corrected by the dentist, an image (scan) is taken of the prepared tooth and the surrounding teeth. This image, called a digital impression, draws the data into a computer. Proprietary software then creates a replacement part for the missing areas of the tooth, creating a virtual restoration. This is called reverse engineering. The software sends this virtual data to a milling machine where the replacement part is carved out of a solid block of ceramic or composite resin. Stains and glazes are fired to the surfaces of the milled ceramic crown or bridge to correct the otherwise monochromatic appearance of the restoration. The restoration is then adjusted in the patient’s mouth and cemented or bonded in place.

As a forward thinking dynamic practice, Smilessence we are proud to present our own in house ceramic studio, CEREC® MCXL, here in East Molesey. With this advanced system, we can quickly restore damaged teeth, using permanent natural-coloured ceramic restorations. These are anti-abrasive and plaque resistant. Restorations include, full crowns, partial crowns, on lays, inlays and veneers.

In about one hour we can restore teeth, using restorations that resemble the composition of natural tooth structure and without the need for impressions. CEREC® 3D uses high quality ceramic materials and Computer Aided Design technology (CAD- CAM). This ground-breaking treatment ensures no second appointment will be necessary.

Using this technology, we can produce any kind of tooth restoration. Chipped and discolored teeth can be repaired using porcelain crowns and veneers. Broken down molars can be restored using inlays and onlays, meaning unsightly silver fillings are a thing of the past. Enhance your smile with CEREC® 3D.
